We won't be serving at the Really Really Free Market this Saturday, because a lot of people are still out of town for break. HOWEVER: We will be taking a trove of sandwiches down to Critical Mass tomorrow! Westlake Square at 5:30 PM, Friday 3/27.
Our FNB schedule will resume next weekend. We might make some changes for this quarter, so stay tuned, or get in touch if you want to get in on the planning and everything.

Saturday 3/21
There's a decent chance of FNB next Saturday, but some of our "regulars" might be away, so it's still up in the air. So come participate! We need all of you! If you're interested, send us an email, or call if you have the number of someone else who might be there or might know another number of someone who might be there, etc.
At 7pm on the same day, Keith McHenry, the founder of FNB, is giving a talk at the Rainier Valley Unitarian Universalist Center: 835 Yesler Way; Seattle, WA; 98104

Beehive Collective Serve, FRIDAY 3/13
We're taking a break from our normal schedule this week in order to bring pasta to the Beehive Collective event that's happening this Friday at the Ethnic Cultural Center from 5-7pm.
Logistics/Helping out:
We're hoping to cook at Sherwood starting at 4 (we don't need quite as much time as usual because it's in the area and pasta doesn't take too long). We still have to get permission from Sherwood, though, since it's not our usual time. If someone from Sherwood reads this, maybe you could let us know if it's ok! If not, we'll cook at Icelarctica (Isaac's house) about 8 blocks north of there. Call or email for address & directions.
We also need tomatoes. Does anybody have any tomatoes?!
BTWFYI: if you'd like to keep up to date with FNB, but don't want to have to remember to always check this blog and usually find that nothing new has been posted, consider signing up for the RSS feed. I don't know much about how this works, but one thing that makes it really easy is Google Reader. If you have a Google/Gmail account already you don't even need to sign up, then you can just subscribe to this blog by pasting the URL, and it will show up whenever there's an update.

Oops
Well, last Saturday a bunch of unfortunate conditions conspired to momentarily divest FNB of its practicability. In other words, we didn't have enough food, and we didn't have enough folks. However, we are regrouping for next weekend, and we will continue as usual, with cooking at 10 @ Sherwood, and serving at 2 @ Westlake. Get in touch if you want to help!
Attention: Dumpster Divers, or those conspiring to enlist in this category. We are going to start dumpstering more frequently in the coming weeks. Dates and times are still fluid. If you want to help out with this, contact us!

Time Change
Well, when I set up the poll I forgot that the Really Really Free Market starts at noon, and not 2, our usual time. So all the times on the poll should be subtracted by 2--I'm planning to start cooking at Sherwood at 8, then we'll bus down to Pratt Park at 11:30. If you already signed up and can't make the new time, don't sweat it--you're welcome any time.

Signup!
We would like to direct your attention to the poll at right--please use it to indicate your intentions relevant to the imminent FNB at the Really Really Free Market in Pratt Park this Saturday.

Food not Bacon
Feb. 21st was the second time that the Westlake FNB encountered police resistance since its October conception. Three officers informed us of the need for an ambiguous "permit" within 15 minutes of our arrival at the park. Perhaps their ill-will was in part due to the conspicuous absence of donuts from our usual spread. However, all was not lost - we had one big feast and even managed to feed a few hungry souls under the watchful eyes of our newest friends.
If anyone has information concerning the legality of serving food in a public park, please contact us! We'd like to avoid these bullies in the future, or perhaps even beat them at their own game.
